The Calm of Justification

1

Dear Friends,

Elizabeth and I attended the RUF Reunion in Starkville two weekends ago and were greatly encouraged by the fellowship and worship along with many of our old friends. Many of you know Brian Habig (Sr Pastor at Downtown Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC and former RUF campus minister at MSU) who preached at Grace Presbyterian Starkville on Sunday morning. As I sat under his preaching that Sunday, I was reminded of one of my favorite sermons that he gave several years ago at an RUF conference. It is called "The Calm of Justification". I want to share it with you.

My question to all of you would be the following: do any of you believe (like I often do) that you would have WONDERFUL prayer lives, Bible study, and fellowship with the Lord or our brothers/sisters IF I just had more time or less responsibilities? In other words, it just seems that busyness crowds out the time that I know that I need to be spending in God's Word and in prayer. How do we get balance in our lives? Or asked another way: how do we beat back the busyness to have the time to spend with our Lord in His Word and in prayer?

The linked message (click here) was really helpful and encouraging to Elizabeth and I in helping to re-prioritize. It is definitely worth the listen despite some strange background noise that you'll hear from the recording. Your ears will adjust to it. :)

Grace and love to you all,

Trey

Thank you for the resources Trey! The title alone is worth contemplating: The Calm of Justification. And reprioritizing is a constant priority for me:)!
