Woman to Woman
3by Joyce Kokaisel
Galatians 6:10 (Amp) & James 1:5 (Amp)
“Happy indeed is a devoted woman;
She is bound to her God securely.
She stands firm and is fed
from the fountain of faith.
She walks in heavenly light
and wisdom, accompanied
by her Father’s revelations.
She presents herself and
all she cherishes humbly
before her God
She speaks what is true
with courage for she is
committed entirely to her
Father’s will.
She does not fear recrimination,
Nor does she flinch from pain
She is committed to caring for
a hurting world and its
Redemption, knowing God
accepts the gift from her
hands which others may
toss aside.
Open our eyes that we will see,
Open our ears that we will hear,
Open our mouths that we will speak,
Open our hearts that we
Will feel… Your love.
As wise daughters, may we
be devoted in passing on
what has been so graciously
given to us.”

I love these words, especially the part about wise daughters passing on what we’ve been given. So in light of that; I want to share what has been passed on to me from other women. Some of these quotes or examples are from famous woman, some only famous to me.
“Enjoy the quiet simple life and always be kind.” Granny Johnson
“Jesus, I never knew you lived so close to the floor.” Sheila Walsh
“It is amazingly important to please my God in what He is calling me to do in this season of my life.” Marni McKenzie
“If people lie about you and you can’t set the record straight just let it be a lie – God will take care of it.” Causie Clay
There are so many from Ann Voskamp. Just when I think I couldn’t grasp what she was saying she shares this beautiful wisdom.
“In shattered places with broken people, we are most near the broken heart of Christ.”
“Let yourself love, let parts of you die or you aren’t really loving.”
“Maybe wholeness is embracing brokenness as part of your life.”
"Make every effort to be sincere. Don’t 'Sugar pie honey bunch' someone to their face then gossip behind their back.” Amy Hornback
“Jesus knows me this I love.” Annie Owens
“People will forget what you said or what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” Maya Angelou
“I’m a little pencil in the hand of a writing God, who is sending a love letter to the world.” Mother Teresa
“Faith includes noticing the mess, the emptiness and discomfort, and letting it be there until some light returns.” Anne Lamott
There are so many more I could share. The point is God has made us His powerful daughters to share our lives with other women. To be among God’s daughters should be a place to learn to grow, to share and yes, be held accountable. It should be a place we want to be, because we are seeking to fulfill His mission for us, in whatever season we are in.
I’ll leave you with one last quote just for fun.
“Pearls are always appropriate.” Jackie Kennedy
