The Women's Ministry at Westminster is called WIC (Women in the Church). WIC provides opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, and service for the women in our church. Westminster's WIC is divided into five committees:
Discipleship Committee
Shepherding a person or group of women to Christlikeness which results in spiritual growth
- Bible Study
- Conferences/Retreats
- Prayer Groups
Mercy Ministry Committee
To serve those in our church and our community through programs and special events
- Cooks Who Care
- College Care Packages
- Bridal/Baby Showers
- Receptions/Special Events
Organizational Committee
To oversee and setup procedures and policies for the uses of WIC items and events in the church
- Wedding Handbook
- Funeral/Memorial Service Guidelines
- Reception Guidelines
- Inventory Control (Kitchen/Linens/Library)
Service Committee
The act of helping or serving others
- Outreach (New members and visitors)
- Lunch for visiting pastors/visiting missionaries
Flowers Committee
To coordinate and conduct the flower ministry of the church
- Sunday morning Worship
- Covered dish lunches
- Seasonal decorations and celebrations
- Special receptions/programs
The 2022/2023 WIC Committee members are Tracy Patridge (President), Kim Pillow and Brady Warren (Discipleship), Marcie Rozier and Robin Smith (Mercy), Amber Joiner (Service), Georgeanne Smith (Organization) and Betsy Belk (Flowers).
